Travellers exploring south-east Asia this year might have the opportunity to stay in Anantara's first property in Vietnam.

The chain's Mui Ne Resort and Spa is situated on the country's south-east coast, 198km east of Ho Chi Minh City and 11km from Phan Thiet train station.

Guests are accommodated in 89 rooms, suites and villas designed in a traditional Vietnamese style and set amongst tropical landscape features, with views of gardens, sea and freshwater lagoons.

The property also offers a choice of five restaurants and bars, providing culinary experiences including grilled seafood, signature cocktails served in local Cham pottery mugs and refreshments available from a swim-up bar.

Watersports fans can try kitesurfing, windsurfing and other activities during their stay at the Mui Ne resort, while visitors interested in seeing local sights can take a speedboat ride to a nearby island and climb the 184 steps leading to the summit of Ke Ga lighthouse.
