Frommer's launches new France guide

Frommer's has launched a new guide to France as part of its award-winning Day by Day series.

Written by British authors Anna E Brook and Allison Culliford, who have spent the last decade living in the country, the book includes more than 75 detailed itineraries taking in various regions.

It includes chapters covering topics such as the best food and wine experiences on offer to holidaymakers, budget breaks, family adventures and the most spectacular scenery in France.

Each section of the book includes the Spotlights feature, which provides information on a range of events and facts relating to everything from the Lascaux caves to cheeses and champagne.

Commissioning editor Mark Henshall noted that many French tourist routes have already been 'done to death' owing to the popularity of the nation for UK travellers.

'We felt the personal focus of the Day by Day guides would bring a much-needed fresh look at the country, unearthing hidden gems and new itineraries,' he added.
