Carnival launching '5D theatre' on new ship

Carnival launching '5D theatre' on new ship
13 Jan 2012

Guests sailing onboard the new Carnival Cruise Lines ship Carnival Breeze later this year will be offered a new entertainment experience at the Thrill 5D Theater.

The operator said the attraction will present 'exhilarating' multi-dimensional shows using a high-definition 3D projection system with 4D elements such as squirting water and bubbles.

It will also feature original special effects that will tickle guests' legs and blow air on their necks, while moving, vibrating seats will add the 'fifth dimension'.

To promote the introduction of the theatre, Carnival has teamed up with Hasbro to launch a Trivial Pursuit-style competition on Facebook.

Jim Berra, the cruise line's senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said the new feature will be one of many aspects of Carnival Breeze 'designed to thrill, captivate and entertain' passengers.

The ship will operate an inaugural 12-day cruise from Venice starting on 3 June this year before beginning a series of Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona that will continue until 25 October.
