Monaco 'represents a combination of France and Italy'

Travellers visiting Monaco will get a taste of both France and Italy, according to the regional tourist board.
Stephan Roberge, managing director of the Monaco Government Tourist Authority & Convention Bureau, said the principality has a rich cultural mix and offers a variety of things to do and discover.
He claimed that the destination is one of the greenest countries in Europe and also boasts an array of spas and restaurants serving Italian and French food.
'When you stay in Monaco you are very close to France and Italy, so it's buy one get two free,' added Mr Roberge.
The tourist board director also commented on the city-state's reputation for luxury, claiming that its status as a high-end travel hotspot does not make it exclusive or inaccessible for ordinary holidaymakers.
A series of events will attract attention to the destination over the coming year, such as the famous Monaco Grand Prix, which will take place on 27 May.
