CAA launches passenger portal

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has launched a dedicated passenger portal on its website to provide advice, support and information for air travellers.
Introduced to coincide with the peak holiday booking season, the platform is designed to highlight the key issues people should consider before, during and after their flights.
Visitors to the webpage will find advice on issues such as the documents they will need in order to fly, fees and charges they should be aware of and travel insurance.
People with reduced mobility can learn more about additional help that will be available to them at the airport.
Iain Osborne, group director of regulatory policy at the CAA, encouraged travellers to visit the portal ahead of their departure and after their trip if they have any issues to raise or complaints to make.
'We want to make sure UK passengers have clear access to the information they need to benefit from the excellent choice and value offered by the airline market in the UK,' he added.
