Marriott Hotels & Resorts has announced the completion of a four-year, full-property renovation of the Boston Marriott Long Wharf.

Some $30m (£19.3m) was spent on the project, which was anchored by the redesign of the lobby and the adjoining Waterline restaurant and bar.

Other developments include an enlarged health club and concierge lounge, the new Harbor View Ballroom and renovated guest rooms, suites and meeting spaces.

All rooms have been appointed with iPod clock radios, LCD televisions, plug-in connectivity for digital devices and other high-tech amenities.

General manager Victor Aragona said the Boston Marriott Long Wharf was 'delighted' to reveal its 'stylish new look and many improvements'.

He added: 'This renovation provides today's performance-driven travellers with the most up-to-date and desirable ambiance and amenities.'

Travellers staying in hotels in Boston can visit local attractions such as the Museum of Fine Arts, the New England Aquarium and the Faneuil Hall marketplace.
