Behind-the-scenes tours on offer at SeaWorld parks
2 Feb 2012

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment has announced a series of behind-the-scenes excursions and tours that are now available to pre-book at the company's properties.

Families visiting SeaWorld Orlando can take part in a 90-minute tour starting at an animal rehabilitation centre, where guests will learn about rescued manatees and sea turtles.

There will also be opportunities to interact with a small shark and a penguin and explore a hidden polar bear den.

The park is also offering the chance for visitors to learn more about the mysterious beluga whale before donning a wetsuit to enjoy an up-close, hands-on meeting with the animal, as well as a safari tour featuring activities such as hand-feeding giraffes.

Another Orlando attraction, Discovery Cove, is offering underwater walks during which explorers can encounter venomous lionfish and sharks, behind a protective window.

Prices for this tour start from £41 for adults and children.

The new experiences can be pre-booked on the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment website.
