Monarch to offer year-round flights to Italy

Monarch Airlines has announced its winter 2012-13 programme, with year-round flights to Venice, Verona, Milan and Rome in Italy set to be made available from UK airports.

Milan and Venice will both be accessible from London Gatwick and Birmingham, while Rome will be served from the West Midlands base and Luton airport.

People travelling from north-west England during the 2012-13 winter season will have the option of catching flights to Milan, Verona and Venice from Manchester with Monarch.

Kevin George, the airline's managing director, said the winter programme reflects the strong demand the company has seen for services to Italian cities over the summer period.

'Our winter flying programme is now on sale and we expect to see demand for our Italian destinations and our existing winter destinations to continue to flourish,' he added.

Monarch will continue to provide routes to popular winter sun hotspots throughout Europe, including Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Greece and Turkey.
