United Airlines upgrading premium services

United Airlines has announced a series of cabin upgrades that will provide new food and beverage options and more inflight entertainment choices for premium passengers, as well as updated amenity kits, pillows and blankets on long-haul international flights.

From 3 March, first-class customers on three-cabin aircraft operating long-haul routes and many services in Asia will experience the new United Global First product, with provisions including a flat-bed seat, priority airport services and more personal attention.

United will also extend Continental Airlines' award-winning BusinessFirst offering, giving its passengers a larger wine selection, a new ice cream sundae dessert option, improved inflight entertainment and new amenity kits featuring skincare products and other items.

Mark Bergsrud, United's senior vice president of marketing, said the cabin changes will offer premium travellers the highest levels of service, 'every time they fly'.

'We are keeping the products that our customers tell us they value the most as we continue to build the world's leading airline,' he added.
