Celebrity Cruises to launch Infinity from UK

Celebrity Cruises will expand its range of services from the UK in summer 2013, with the recently renovated Infinity set to join Eclipse in offering voyages in the region.
While Eclipse will continue to sail from Southampton in spring and summer next year, Infinity will operate cruises around the British Isles and to the Norwegian fjords from Harwich.
The latter recently concluded a refurbishment as part of Celebrity's $140m (£88.2m) investment in enhancing four ships in its fleet.
Dan Hanrahan, the line's president and chief executive officer, said: 'Our decision to expand our European vacation options from the UK on … Celebrity Infinity is in direct response to increased demand for more of the modern luxury holidays that only Celebrity can provide.'
Summer 2013 will mark the cruise operator's biggest ever season in Europe, with Celebrity Constellation, Equinox, Silhouette and Reflection also set to offer luxury voyages and tours in the region.
Elsewhere, the company's 2,850-guest flagship Celebrity Solstice will become the first of its class to offer holidays at sea in Alaska next year.
