The Chicago Cultural Center will offer some new attractions for visitors to the American city this spring with the launch of three major exhibitions in its Michigan Avenue galleries.

Among the new displays is a showcase of images by Eric Holubow, a photographer whose subjects are architectural interiors that have been forgotten and left to ruin.

Eric Holubow: In Decay - Stitching America's Ruins will open on 31 March and run until 8 July 2012.

From 7 April to 15 July this year, the Chicago Cultural Center will present a selection of pieces by Matthew Woodward, who often uses ironwork, mouldings and other methods to explore significant chapters in the history of American architecture.

The third exhibition opening at the venue this year will feature the work of Shawne Major, whose mixed-media pieces explore how society's perception of reality is influenced by concepts such as dreams, memory, superstition, religion and prejudice.

This display, entitled On a Darkling Plain, will also run from 7 April to 15 July.
