Copenhagen wins 14 Michelin stars

Denmark's national tourist board has encouraged travellers to seek out some of the culinary experiences on offer in Copenhagen after the city's restaurants were awarded a total of 14 stars in the 2012 Michelin Guide.
The Danish capital has won more stars than any other Scandinavian city and more than major European travel destinations including Amsterdam, Rome and Vienna.
Rasmus Kofoed, winner of the prestigious Bocuse d'Or award, has achieved his first Michelin star for his organic restaurant Geranium, which overlooks Faelledsparken Park.
Food lovers staying in hotels in Copenhagen can also pay a visit to Restaurant Relae, another establishment that has been recognised by Michelin for the first time.
The eatery is situated in a rustic cellar in Norrebro, which VisitDenmark describes as an 'up-and-coming, trendy district'.
Noma, which has topped the San Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants list for the past two years, retained the two stars it has held since 2007.
Visitors should plan well in advance if they want to eat here, as waiting times for reservations are at least three months.
