Families invited to LA attractions

LA INC, the convention and visitors bureau representing Los Angeles, has highlighted some of the attractions on offer to people planning family holidays in the city.
Parents taking youngsters to the destination during a stay in the western United States could start their trip at LA Zoo in Griffith Park.
Earlier this month, the zoo unveiled The Lair, a new exhibit whose name stands for living amphibians, invertebrates and reptiles.
The complex will house more than 60 species from around the world across six themed exhibition areas.
Another attraction worth checking out is the Zimmer Children's Museum, which provides a range of hands-on experiences inviting kids to dress up, put on their own shows and create artistic masterpieces.
The site is part of Museum Row, which is also home to the Craft and Folk Art Museum.
At the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, adults and children alike can see sharks up close and touch marine animals in shallow pools.
