Croatia 'ideal' for cruise holidays

Travellers planning a cruise holiday in future could consider visiting destinations such as Dubrovnik, Hvar and Split in Croatia, with the editor-in-chief of news and reviews website Cruise Critic describing these locations as 'ideal'.
Speaking at the Telegraph Cruise Show in London this month, Carolyn Spencer Brown said Croatia has been increasing in popularity for a good ten years and is set to experience further growth.
'Its port cities are absolutely ideal first off,' she commented.
'They've got everything - they've got beaches, they've got watersports, they've got history and culture.'
Ms Spencer Brown encouraged Dubrovnik visitors to take a walk around the city's fortified walls and also pointed out that travellers can hike into the countryside to explore old villages.
Cruise holidays in the Mediterranean and southern Europe provide the opportunity to combine Croatia with other popular countries such as Italy, Greece and Turkey, which are home to port destinations like Venice, Athens and Istanbul.
