New club boosts Sydney's nightlife scene

Travellers visiting the capital of New South Wales in Australia this year might have the opportunity to check out the city's newest nightspot following the opening of Marquee - The Star, Sydney.
The venue was officially unveiled last weekend with a party attended by more than 1,000 people, including international stars such as will.i.am, Joe Jonas and Slash of Guns N' Roses fame.
Music was provided by Dutch DJ Afrojack and Redfoo, one half of electro pop duo LMFAO.
The club, which is the result of a partnership between Echo Entertainment and Tao Group, comprises three different rooms catering for different musical tastes and moods.
It is situated on the top tier of the new harbourside entrance to The Star - an expanding leisure complex in Sydney - in a location that affords views of the harbour and the surrounding skyline.
Echo Entertainment chief executive Larry Mullin said the club will help The Star achieve its ambition of becoming the city's 'ultimate one-stop nightlife and entertainment destination'.
He added: 'The last piece of this jigsaw will be the $100m multipurpose events centre, which is currently under construction and due for completion in 2013.'
