Air Europa offering more flights to Lima

Air Europa offering more flights to Lima
10 Apr 2012

British travellers planning a trip to Peru later this year will be able to choose from a wider range of flights to Lima from London Gatwick with Air Europa.

The service, which operates via Madrid, increased from a twice-weekly frequency to five times a week earlier this month and will be available every day from 26 June.

Air Europa uses the new Airbus A330-200 on the route and offers connection times of less than three and a half hours.

The airline's decision to increase frequency to Lima was made after travellers showed strong interest in the Peruvian capital.

Colin Stewart, the carrier's UK general manager, said: 'Due to unprecedented demand after its successful introduction in 2010, Lima has become one of our key routes and we're proud to expand our schedule in time for the busy summer season.'

Air Europa also provides daily flights to Buenos Aires in Argentina, Caracas in Venezuela, Cuba's capital city of Havana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
