BA moves Algiers flights to London Gatwick
16 Apr 2012
Travellers now have the opportunity to catch flights to Algiers from London Gatwick, following the transfer of a British Airways (BA) service to Algeria's capital city from Heathrow airport.
The airline is offering seven connections per week to the destination as part of its summer schedule.
BA highlighted the range of attractions on offer in Algiers, which includes 17-century mosques, Ottoman-style palaces and a Mediterranean harbour.
The Algerian capital is one of five north African destinations served by the airline, with flights to Cairo in Egypt, the Libyan city of Tripoli, Marrakech in Morocco and Tunis in Tunisia also available.
Several changes will take effect as part of the carrier's summer schedule this year, including the introduction of a first-class option on a route to Moscow.
Passengers will also be able to choose from a wider range of flights to New York JFK, Miami, Johannesburg, Riyadh and Hong Kong from London Heathrow.
