An event taking place in Iceland in June could provide some memorable sights for travellers.
The Summer Solstice Festival will run from 14 to 17 June, allowing revellers to come together to enjoy the midnight sun on the longest day of the year.
One of the traditions on this particular occasion is to roll naked in dew, a practice that will result in one's dreams coming true, according to local legend.
There are many other festivities and activities to experience during the festival, including impressive bonfires, feasts and outdoor parties.
Also due to take place in Iceland from 14 to 17 June 2012 is the Viking Festival, which is held annually in the village of Hafnarfjordur.
Travellers can celebrate and learn more about the country's Viking heritage and culture by watching battle demonstrations, music, archery and games, sampling local cuisine and hearing stories.
