Free Korea travel guides launched
1 May 2012

People planning a trip to South Korea in the near future can make use of some free guides recently released by the country's national tourism agency.

The new Korea Travel Guide provides all sorts of information about the best destinations on offer to travellers, as well as arts, culture, events and other topics.

Readers of the 130-page colour guidebook will learn more about tourist attractions and also find tools such as maps, lists of useful phrases and details about how to get around.

Also available is a booklet covering South Korea's World Heritage sites, which has full-colour photographs highlighting locations of historical and natural importance around the country.

The other new releases from the Korea Tourism Organisation explore accommodation - with information on everything from the 400-year-old Jeonju Hanok Village to boutique hotels and luxury resorts - and gastronomic experiences such as visiting culinary festivals and trying food from street vendors.
