EasyJet launches new flights to sun hotspots
4 May 2012

EasyJet has boosted access to three popular sun holiday destinations from two of its bases in the UK.

The airline this week expanded its operations at London Southend Airport with new flights to Malaga on the south coast of Spain and Palma de Mallorca in the Balearics.

Travellers can also fly from the Essex base to popular European destinations such as Barcelona, Amsterdam and Faro.

EasyJet UK commercial manager Hugh Aitken said: 'The new routes from London Southend Airport are the perfect opportunity for our south-east passengers to escape the spring showers and enjoy a traditional holiday destination in the sun.'

The airline is also offering a new option for people interested in visiting the Greek islands this year, with an additional service from London Gatwick to Kefalonia.

Set to operate three times a week, the route brings the total number of easyJet destinations in Greece to 11, with flights to Athens, Corfu, Chania and Heraklion in Crete, Kos, Thessaloniki, Santorini, Rhodes, Mykonos and Zante also available.
