BA presents dedicated viewing area for Olympics fans
8 May 2012
British Airways (BA) and the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) have teamed up to create a dedicated viewing area for sports fans in the heart of the Olympic Park.
The site will allow up to 10,000 people to watch live events, hear from medal-winning athletes and enjoy a picnic on riverside lawns.
Guests can see the sporting action on giant screens and get help and assistance from 'BA hosts' - volunteers from the airline and their family members.
The Park Live venue will be located in the centre of a newly created 250-acre parkland area that affords views of Olympic Park venues and London landmarks, as well as providing a new green space for people and local wildlife.
LOCOG chair Sebastian Coe said the aim was to provide a colourful space for fans to watch the Games and enjoy the atmosphere generated by the events.
He added: 'With lush lawns surrounded by wildflower meadows and rustling reeds, a trip to Park Live will be a truly unforgettable experience.'
