KLM resumes direct flights to Dallas
11 May 2012

People interested in exploring the southern United States now have an additional travel option following KLM's resumption of flights to Dallas, the third largest city in Texas.

The airline will offer a direct service to the destination from its Amsterdam hub throughout the summer season, up to and including 27 October 2012.

Travellers will be able to choose from five weekly flights operated by an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

KLM first launched a route to Dallas/Fort Worth in March 2008 and last winter made a joint decision with partner carrier Delta Air Lines to restrict the service to the summer season, owing to fluctuating demand and overcapacity in the transatlantic market.

President and chief executive officer Peter Hartman said the Dutch airline was 'delighted' to once again provide a direct link to this important business and leisure destination.

He added: 'With the resumption of service to Dallas/Fort Worth, KLM and Delta now operate 20 direct services between Amsterdam and North American cities.'
