Ozone at the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong - which is reportedly the world's highest bar, at an altitude of 490 metres above sea level - provided the setting for a significant party this month as the property celebrated its first anniversary.

More than 500 distinguished guests attended the event and were entertained by eight-year-old piano prodigy Johnson Li and a fashion show.

The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, which occupies floors 102 to 118 of the International Commerce Centre in Kowloon, provides 312 guestrooms, Chinese and Italian restaurants, a lobby lounge and a rooftop bar.

Over the past year, the hotel has become an 'iconic address', according to general manager Pierre Perusset.

'We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming response to our restaurants and spa and the fondness expressed by our guests towards our rooms and suites,' he added.

'The sky is the limit at the world's highest hotel!'

Mr Perusset went on to reveal that the Ritz-Carlton chain is embarking on a series of new projects, including the global launch of a dedicated app and the introduction of the Hong Kong property's Facebook page.
