Germany set to welcome sailors, cyclists and runners

Sports enthusiasts have been encouraged to pay a visit to Germany over the coming months to attend some of the major events taking place across the country.
Rostock will provide the setting for Hanse Sail from 9 to 12 August, bringing regattas and maritime-themed exhibitions to the Baltic Sea.
People who would be more interested in events they can get involved with can head to the Rhineland-Palatinate area on 28 August for the German Wine Route Fun Day.
More than 300,000 cyclists, walkers and inline skaters are expected to gather along the 80km wine route to try regional produce in quaint villages, vineyards and even castles.
The streets of Frankfurt will also be full of sports lovers on 28 October for the BMW Marathon, which will attract thousands of runners to Germany's financial capital.
Travellers can reach various parts of the country by catching flights to Berlin, Dusseldorf and Munich, among other cities.
