30 Jul 2012
There is now a new accommodation option available to travellers heading to China following the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou.
The property occupies the top 30 floors of the city's International Finance Centre.
Highlights of the development include a three-metre red steel sculpture by Australian artist Matthew Harding that greets guests in the 70th floor lobby and a naturally-lit atrium surrounded by restaurants and rooms above.
Dining options include the Cantonese-style Yu Yue Heen and Kumoi, where guests can sample Japanese cuisine.
The Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou also features a spa offering treatments including rose-fragranced baths, facials and massages.
Highlighting some of the attractions on offer nearby, Guangzhou native and hotel concierge Kent Li said: 'The famed Guangzhou Opera House is right next door to the hotel, with a full calendar of concerts and other performances.
'And, to get to know more of the Pearl River New City area, we've created a walking tour.'
Guangzhou is China's third largest city, situated 120km upriver from Hong Kong and 165km from Macau.
The new property in the destination joins Four Seasons' other establishments in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macau and Hangzhou, with another development underway in Beijing.
