16 Aug 2012
Singapore Airlines has announced details of new inflight cabin products due to be introduced next year, the result of the airline's collaboration with design firms DesignworksUSA and James Park Associates.
In the first class cabin, the carrier is focusing on improving ambience and providing more privacy, personal stowage space and comfort in a revamped seat.
Business class passengers will also benefit from enhancements including more comfortable seating and sleeping positions.
Singapore Airlines stressed that it is not overlooking economy class, with development work currently underway in areas such as better seat and headrest comfort and more personal space for passengers.
New inflight entertainment offerings and improved cabin lighting will also be progressively introduced.
Tan Pee Teck, Singapore Airlines' senior vice president of products and services, highlighted the importance of innovation in the aviation industry and claimed the company is always 'looking towards the future'.
He added: 'Taking into account customer feedback, we are all genuinely excited about the inflight products that will be introduced from next year, which will improve upon our existing award-winning cabin offerings.'
