7 Sep 2012

Art lovers will be heading to Dusseldorf over the coming months to see two major exhibitions in the city.

One of the most eagerly anticipated art displays in the destination is the first showing of North-Rhine Westphalia's collection of 100 pieces by Paul Klee, a range that includes paintings, drawings and other works.

The K21 museum will host the show, titled 100 x Paul Klee - Paintings and their Stories, from 29 September this year to 10 February 2013.

Art lovers can also catch flights to Dusseldorf over the coming months to see a presentation of new pieces and older photographs by Andreas Gursky, which will open at Museum Kunstpalast on 23 September and run until 13 January next year.

The exhibition will include a number of previously unseen images by Gursky, a German visual artist known for the large scale and depth of his works.

Some of his most recent creations have explored the theme of water.
