Qatar Airways has teamed up with four top chefs to create a new inflight dining experience and design signature dishes for passengers to enjoy.

The airline collaborated with Ramzi Choueiri from Lebanon, Mumbai-born Vineet Bhatia, British chef Tom Aikens and Nobu Matsuhisa from Japan to create the Qatar Airways Culinary World Menu.

After being introduced at a press conference in Doha, the food experts gave a live cooking demonstration of some of their favourite dishes.

Qatar Airways said its partnership with the chefs underlines its commitment to offering a 'five-star service'.

Chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker pointed out that the airline is preparing for the arrival of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the world's most advanced aircraft.

'[This] heralds the start of an exciting new era for travellers worldwide and today's introduction of a unique food offering is part of the overhaul of the entire travel experience for our passengers,' he added.

The new menus are already being rolled out on flights to and from Doha.
