Families encouraged to spend half-term in Jamaica

Families encouraged to spend half-term in Jamaica
1 Feb 2013

The recent spate of cold and wet weather in the UK means that many families will have been cooped up inside throughout January.

But with half-term approaching this could be a recipe for arguments, as adults and children get in each other's hair.

However, parents are being urged not to let the kids 'Jamaica them crazy' by taking a trip to the Caribbean island this February.
The Jamaican Tourist Board is hoping to lure Brits to the island with the promise of year-round sunshine, 175 attractions and good value for money.

Activities to keep kids and adults alike entertained include a splash in the Dunns River Falls and a bobsled ride through the forest inspired by 'Cool Runnings' at Mystic Mountain.

Mystic Mountain also features canopy zip-lining and the Sky Explorer cable ride above the trees.

Flights to the capital Kingston from London take around nine to ten hours.
