Three new reasons to take cheap flights to Canada are opening this year, based on the themes of space, flight and the oceans.

In Montreal, the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium opened last week in the heart of Canada's largest natural science museum complex, Space for Life. Contained within the eco-friendly building is the Chaos Theatre, where visitors experience a space journey soundtracked by Philip Glass, and the Milky Way Theatre, where professional astronomers host productions.

On the opposite side of the country in Vancouver, FlyOver Canada is set to open at Canada Place in May. Up to 60 guests at a time will be able to buckle up and enjoy a virtual fly past of some of the country's most spectacular scenery.

Then in the summer, the Ripley's Aquarium of Canada will open in Toronto, featuring more than 13,500 sea creatures. Tourists will be able to enjoy a ride along a 96m moving walking below the Shark Lagoon. ADNFCR-408-ID-801569398-ADNFCR
