Brits accounted for more than 6% of the guests staying in hotels in Abu Dhabi in February, the local Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) has revealed.

This makes the UK the emirate's best performing international guest market, with the number of British visitors enjoying holidays there rising all the time.

In total, some 12,595 UK guests (+10%) stayed in Abu Dhabi's 141 hotels for an average of 4.45 nights (+9%) during February.

'The fundamentals show that people are staying longer in the emirate, which demonstrates that our message of there now being so much more to see and do ... is resonating well,' commented HE Mubarak Al Muhairi, the director general of TCA Abu Dhabi.

A highlight of Abu Dhabi is a visit to the Yas Marina circuit, which hosts the Formula 1 every year. During open days, members of the public can go for a run or cycle ride around the track.ADNFCR-408-ID-801571926-ADNFCR
