New food tour of Hong Kong launched
23 Apr 2013

The first fully licenced company to offer food tours around Hong Kong has just been launched in order to give visitors an insight into the cuisine of the administrative region.

From 10 May food enthusiasts will be able to explore the Kowloom neighbourhood on the Sham Shui Po Foodie Tour with a guide offering information on lots of different dishes.

They will also help visitors to understand how the food is produced, talking about the different ingredients and the pots, pans and utensils used.

Cecilia Leung, founder and director of Hong Kong Foodie, said: 'Known to many Hong Kong locals as a foodie enclave, Sham Shui Po houses a plethora of eateries serving some of our city's favourite treats.'

The tour runs from breakfast until lunchtime with six eateries included, all of which are run by local families cooking up traditional meals.

Ms Leung added: 'We will venture beyond the typical tourist route to eat and see this old Kowloon neighbourhood like a local.'ADNFCR-408-ID-801575794-ADNFCR
