Families looking for a good summer holiday destination for the kids might like to try Mallorca, which now boasts a new theme park designed with young thrill-seekers in mind.

The Katmandu Sol Park and Resort in Magaluf will be opening this summer with a range of rides and attractions, including a 4D rollercoaster, a Wild West shoot out with laser guns, a paranormal experience and an 18-hole golf course.

A Tex-Mex restaurant will be serving up platters of sizzling meats, chips and dips, then there are plenty of bar options for adults needing a stiff drink after battling hurricane-force winds in The House ride.

As well as the Magaluf-based park, holidaymakers arriving in Mallorca can stay at the Pirates' Village nearby. With a vast maritime-themed swimming pool featuring water cannons, waterfalls and playgrounds, little ones will be in their element.

The resort is located just 20 minutes from Palma de Mallorca Airport, so families can be relaxing in the sun just a few short hours after leaving the UK.ADNFCR-408-ID-801580954-ADNFCR
