Survey reveals top holiday fashion faux pas

Survey reveals top holiday fashion faux pas
17 Jul 2013

A new survey has revealed the top fashion faux pas committed by Brits on holiday abroad.

Topping the list for women is the thong bikini, while for men, combining socks and sandals is regarded as the biggest no-no.

Also making the list for women are patchy fake tans, high heels on the beach and exposed tan lines, while men get disapproving looks for showing their beer bellies, wearing tight trunks and turning their baseball caps around.

More than half of those surveyed said they had committed one of the top ten summer fashion faux pas on holiday.

'When Brits go on holiday they do tend to adopt a more laid-back attitude towards their style - perhaps it's down to nobody knowing you when you're on foreign soil,' commented Michele Duncan for Xtra Life Lycra Fibre, which carried out the study.

'A huge majority of the British population don't consider their swim attire choices carefully enough.'ADNFCR-408-ID-801613441-ADNFCR
