Gnome among most bizarre items lost at Oktoberfest
10 Oct 2013

It's hardly surprising that Oktoberfest's lost property department was busy this year given that its visitors consumed some 6.7m litres of beer during the event.

However, alcohol consumption does not necessarily account for some of the items that were left behind in Munich, as an infographic produced by Stylight has revealed.

Among the property handed in this year was a Bayern Munich FC garden gnome, a segway and a gigantic pencil. Items on the 'still missing' list include €50,000 in cash and a guitar.

More predictable pieces of lost property dropped by some of the 6.4m visitors were 1,065 ID cards, 940 bits of clothing, 400 sets of keys and 320 mobile phones.

If you lost something at Oktoberfest this year, you have until 1 February 2014 to collect it before everything is auctioned.

Oddities from years past include a dachshund called Wasti, a fishing rod and a court order.ADNFCR-408-ID-801648019-ADNFCR
