Brits prefer to ski in France
24 Oct 2013

When it comes to booking a skiing holiday, France is the go to destination among British snow sports enthusiasts.

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain and ABTA, Espace Killy and Les Trois Vallees are our two favourite places to go skiing, ahead of Sauze D'Oulx in Italy and Kitzbuhel and St Anton in Austria.

Espace Killy is located in the Tarentaise Valley in the French Alps and includes the resort of Val d'Isere. Les Trois Vallees (The Three Valleys) in the same region is the largest ski area in the world connected solely by ski lifts and slopes.

Although most Brits don't think about skiing until winter has arrived in the UK, a number of high altitude resorts in Europe opened their lifts as early as September this year thanks to a metre of fresh snow cover.

By heading off on an early season skiing break you could save money compared to the most popular times in mid-season. ADNFCR-408-ID-801652990-ADNFCR
