Ten most bizarre holiday experiences revealed

A new list of the ten most unusual holiday experiences reveals that there's plenty out there for people who get bored of lazing on the beach while on vacation.

Topping AOL Travel's countdown was a rather unusual take on the back massage, provided by live snakes at Ada Barak's carnivorous plant farm in Israel. The snakes used are, thankfully, non venomous.

'One old lady said it was soothing - like a cold compress,' Ms Barak said.

Other wacky adventures on the list include pretending to be an illegal immigrant trying to cross the border into the USA from Mexico; bathing and swimming in beer at the Starkenberger castle brewery in Austria; and sledging down the side of a volcano in Nicaragua after hiking to the top.

AOL Travel has previously provided a list of the world's wackiest festivals, which featured the Spam Jam in Hawaii; the Frog Festival in Louisiana; and tuna hurling at Tunarama in Australia. ADNFCR-408-ID-801662382-ADNFCR
