Chinese hotel staffed by robots

Slow service is one of hotel guests biggest bugbears, but at one hotel in China you can rely on all the staff to be super efficient - because they are robots.

A the futuristic Pengheng Space Capsules Hotel in Shenzhen, robot waiters bring drinks to the tables of guests who've ordered them using tablets supplied in the lounge area.

Rocket News 24 reports that, although there is a skeleton staff working in the hotel to oversee the operation, robots carry out all the menial jobs.

The hotel is a real bargain at only £8 per night, but for your money you do have to sleep in a tiny capsule bunk bed - albeit that each one features air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a work desk. To add to the sci-fi ambience, the whole place is lit with purple mood lighting.

You'll find the hotel situated 20 minutes from the Bao'an International Airport.ADNFCR-408-ID-801664175-ADNFCR
