22 Nov 2013

Legendary comic troupe Monty Python have announced they will be reuniting for a one-off show in London next year.

The surviving members of the Flying Circus - Michael Palin, Eric Idle, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones - will perform a some of their most famous sketches with 'a modern twist' at the O2 Arena on 1 July 2014. Sixth member Graham Chapman died in 1989.

Tickets for the show, which are sure to sell like hot cakes, go on sale next Monday (25 November) and will range from £26.50 to £95.

'People do really want to see the old hits but we don't want to do them in a predictable way,' Cleese told reporters during a press call at London's Playhouse Theatre, home of the Monty Python-inspired musical Spamalot.

'The main danger we have is that the audience know the scripts better than we do.'ADNFCR-408-ID-801663891-ADNFCR
