Brazil hotel interest through the roof

Brazil hotel interest through the roof
10 Dec 2013

The number of people searching for hotels in Brazil reportedly surged over the weekend, following the World Cup draw.

With supporters of every participating country now aware of which cities will be hosting their team, fans can book rooms near the stadia and have been logging online in their droves, Travel Weekly said.

For England fans, Roy Hodgson's men are scheduled to play in Manaus in the Amazon region on 15 June against Italy; match up against Uruguay in Sao Paulo on 19 June; and tackle Costa Rica in Belo Horizonte on 24 June.

The main concern for England players and fans is the almost 1,800-mile journey from Rio de Janeiro, where Hodgson and his team are staying, to Manaus in northern Brazil. And while the hot and humid weather there is likely to be welcomed by travelling tourists, the players are likely to struggle in the conditions. ADNFCR-408-ID-801670740-ADNFCR
