Avoriaz ski run named world's best
15 Jan 2014

A ski run in the French resort of Avoriaz has been named the world's best by CNN.

The news provider recruited a panel of expert skiers to compile the list, including Olympic medal-winning skier Andrew Weibrecht and Nicola Iseard, editor of the British ski magazine Fall Line, and they decided that 'The Stash' is the planet's finest.

'My favorite run in the world is The Stash,' commented Becky Menday, a member of Great Britain's Freestyle Snowboard Team.

'It takes you through the trees and has fantastic natural wooden features for you to session all the way through it.'

The part tree-lined, part terrain park slope was designed by Jake Burton, the founder of Burton Snowboards.

Second place went to the Dave Murray Downhill in the Canadian resort of Whistler, which was used during the 2010 Winter Olympic, with Ventina in Cervinia, Italy, which is five miles long and has 1,430m of descent, in third.ADNFCR-408-ID-801682474-ADNFCR
