More Emirates flights from Dublin to Dubai
22 Jan 2014

Emirates Airlines is offering more flights on its Dubai-Dublin route, thanks to growing demand for trips to Ireland from tourists in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and surrounding Gulf Region.

The carrier is preparing to launch a second daily non-stop flight between the countries from September 1st, 2014, with flights to be conducted aboard a Boeing 777-300ER. As a result, capacity will rise by more than 5,0000 seats a week in both directions.

It will join the daily service that Emirates launched to Dublin in January 2012, leaving Dubai at 4.00pm and reaching Dublin at 8.50pm. The return flight will leave Dublin at 10.20pm and touch down in Dubai at 8.55am.

Tim Clark, president of Emirates Airline, said: "Air travel is indispensable for tourism and trade, the major engines of Ireland's resurgent economy.

"Emirates' expanded schedule will offer increased access to emerging markets and encourages investment and innovation," he added. "There is a clear traffic flow from Dublin to a number of destinations in our network, therefore boosting connections makes business sense."
