Spanish golf club gets acclaim

Golfers preferring to spend their holidays in southern Spain should try their hand at the La Manga Golf Club this summer if they haven't already, as it's attaining something of a reputation in the UK as an excellent place.

Indeed, the venue has been voted the Best in Spain for the third successive year by readers of the magazine Today's Golfer, easily beating off competition with a hefty 48% of the vote.

Gary Silcock, La Manga Club's director of golf, was pleased that the five-star club has managed to pull off the hattrick, saying: 'To be recognised as Spain's top golf resort for the third year running is an amazing achievement and a great honour.

'The last 12 months have been very successful and there are a number of exciting additions to our golf product in 2014 which will help to further cement the position of the resort as the continent's leading sports and leisure destination,' he added.

La Manga is set in an area three times the size of Monaco and boasts three whopping 18-hole championship golf courses - all of which have received nods from the Top 100 Courses in Spain list.

Those playing at the complex can also expect an extraordinary array of five-star sports and leisure amenities, with the staff providing an incredible level of care and attention to all players.

If you like to enjoy an after-session meal or drink, there are plenty of five-star restaurants and bars on hand just waiting to meet your every need.

The award is enough to cement La Manga as the UK favourite in southern Spain, and caters for families with young kids with a host of child care facilities.

Southern Spain enjoys a vibrant and thriving golfing scene thanks to excellent weather during the summertime.ADNFCR-408-ID-801686256-ADNFCR
