Monarch announces partnership with vistlondon.com

A new partnership between Monarch Airlines and travel inspiration website visitlondon.com will see the duo set up a brand new campaign geared around 'The London Story'.

Until the end of February, the collaboration aims to encourage Spanish and Italian travellers to venture over to the UK and see what its vibrant capital has to offer.

While these visitors from abroad are shown the iconic parts of the metropolis - such as Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus - they are also introduced to the lesser-known parts of London through a number of two-minute videos.

These feature genuine people of London and include iconic characters behind some of the best known landmarks, including Mark the park manager for the Royal Parks, Barney the Yeoman of the Ward from the Tower of London and Alex the pier manager for the River Thames.

Monarch cabin crew member and Londoner Jairo Chinea Santos also has a starring role as the company's ambassador within the video, explaining how he loves to call the city home despite the fact he often flies off to other interesting destinations.

Tim Williamson, director of customer experience and marketing for Monarch Airlines commented: 'Monarch Airlines is delighted to have partnered with visitlondon.com for ‘The London Story’ campaign.

'Focus on our inbound customer has become even more imperative to the airline and we are pleased to be able to offer tourists visiting the capital an interactive outlet of information which will aid them during their stay.'
