Dreamliner production on the rise

Dreamliner production on the rise
29 Jan 2014

Boeing has reportedly increased production of its successful Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft this week, with the vehicle being produced at a rate of ten planes per month as of today (29 January).

The figure is significant as it is the highest production rate in history for the twin-aisle plane, and also represents the first time the company has upped its production in just over a year.

'This rate increase reflects the continued strong demand for the 787,' commented Larry Loftis, vice president and general manager of the 787 programme at Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

He added that a 'disciplined approach' and combined teamwork among employees had helped to achieve the increased production.

The aeroplane that rolled out of the factory this morning will be delivered to International Lease Finance Corp. for operation by Aeromexico, which will use it for its popular London Heathrow to Mexico City route.ADNFCR-408-ID-801687969-ADNFCR
