Treat your Valentine to a Scotch Whisky Experience

Treat your Valentine to a Scotch Whisky Experience
5 Feb 2014

If you're yet to sort out what you're doing for Valentine's Day, the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh thinks it might have the answer.

It wants people to book a cheap flight to the Scottish capital to enjoy a locally-inspired five-course menu at the award-winning Amber restaurant, located in the vaults of The Scotch Whisky Experience itself.

Executive chef David Neave has created a special menu for the occasion, consisting of seared scallops with crab dumpling and lobster mayonnaise; pan seared halibut with truffled potato puree, fried greens and mussel bisque; and twice-baked goats cheese soufflé with caramelised walnuts and roasted Jerusalem artichokes.

Of course, the romantic meal will then be rounded off with dessert, followed by whisky and cheese.

If the Friday night is too packed, the dinner is being served again on Saturday 15 February.

Valentine's Day started as a celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus, but today is more a good excuse for a romantic city break for two. ADNFCR-408-ID-801690357-ADNFCR
