Atlasjet to begin Luton service
11 Feb 2014

Turkish airline Atlasjet has announced it is to begin operating a daily service from Luton to Istanbul later this year.

EconomiPlus tickets to the Turkish city will start at £148 when the flights take off in May, including taxes.

After landing in Istanbul, passengers will be able to catch onward services to Ercan in North Cyprus; Gaziantep, Antalya and Izmir in Turkey; Tehran in Iran; Tbilisi in Georgia; and Nizhnekamsk, Russia.

'We are delighted to connect London Luton to Istanbul with our new flights and look forward to welcoming passengers on-board to experience our commitment to customer service and all that Istanbul has to offer,' Atlasjet's ground operations director Yuksel Atak commented.

Luton Airport business development manager Simon Harley added that the new flights would offer passengers 'choice, great value and convenience'.

Atlasjet began operations in 2001 with two planes. It now has 15 planes serving locations across eastern Europe. ADNFCR-408-ID-801692181-ADNFCR
