Telegraph reveals the best ski resorts for intermediates
20 Feb 2014

One of the most important things to consider when booking a ski holiday is picking a resort that has the right runs to suit your abilities.

To help those who've been skiing before progress on their next trip, the Telegraph has published a list of the world's best ski resorts for intermediates, compiled by Dave Watts and Chris Gill, editors of Where to Ski and Snowboard 2014.

Their top pick is Courchevel in the Savoie region of France, which gives skiers access to the vast Les Trois Vallees (The Three Valleys) ski area - 'one of the greatest intermediate playgrounds in the world,' according to Watts and Gill.

With three-quarters of the 600km of linked pistes graded blue and red, they're probably right, and you'll be spoilt for choice during a week's break.

Also highly recommended were Serre Chevalier, also in France; Sella Ronda in the Italian Dolomites; Vail in Colorado, USA; and Soll in Austria. ADNFCR-408-ID-801695742-ADNFCR
