Orlando set to see spike in visitor numbers

Egypt makes effort to woo British holidaymakers
14 Mar 2014

In a bid to engage more with tourists from overseas, the ETA has launched its first official Facebook page in the UK.

Of course, Egypt has been a hugely popular tourist destination among Brits for a number of years, but recent troubles in that part of the world have seen visitor numbers drop markedly.

It is, however, hoped that the new page will mean that holidaymakers are able to gain a real insight into what the country has to offer.

Beyond the traditional tourist hotspots, for instance, the country is also home to loads of sandy beaches, as well as great golf courses, spas and quintessential Egyptian experiences.

“We are thrilled to launch our first social media platform and hope it will encourage returning UK holidaymakers, and new holidaymakers to visit Egypt," said Omayma El Husseini, UK & Ireland director, Egyptian Tourist Authority.

“In doing so, it will allow the LoveEgyptUK fans to share their experiences, giving other fans insights into the delights Egypt has to offer.” ADNFCR-408-ID-801703625-ADNFCR
