Orlando set to see spike in visitor numbers
14 Mar 2014

The city of Orlando is one of the top tourist destinations in the state of Florida and given its beautiful weather through much of the year and wide range of attractions, it is easy to understand why.

And the popular holiday destination is busy preparing itself for a rush of visitors in the coming weeks, having witnessed an impressive spike in the first couple of months of 2014.

It is thought that cold temperatures in northern parts of the state mean that holidaymakers are more likely to head to Orlando in search of sunnier climes.

Indeed, industry experts have said that the spring season will see a huge number of visitors head to the city.

"I think you're going to see a record year," Paul Phipps, chief marketing officer of Visit Florida, commented. "And certainly Orlando is right in the middle of that."

Orlando is, of course, well known for being home to a number of great theme parks, which are the ideal places to keep young children entertained.ADNFCR-408-ID-801703623-ADNFCR
